Tea With Me {a life update}

August 31, 2018August 31, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 1 Comment

If you were to tea with me today it would be an early one, around that beautiful time of the morning when the world just seems to be coming to life. The light is soft. Bird song loud. There is a gentle hum of morning radio in the background. The school bus passes the end … Continue reading Tea With Me {a life update}

Last week I gave you a little tour of downstairs in our home, thank you so much for all your kind comments that followed. In case you missed it, you can catch up here. Today, I thought we could head upstairs for a quick tour. When it comes to the upstairs area of our home … Continue reading Welcome To Foxborough {part two}

Welcome to Foxborough {part one}

March 3, 2018August 8, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 11 Comments

Welcome to our home, come on in. Truth be told, I have been resisting doing a home tour for a long time and the only reason for that is simply that I feel like Foxborough is still very much a work in progress. A few weeks ago a local homes magazine got in touch and … Continue reading Welcome to Foxborough {part one}

A Q&A With Me

February 18, 2018February 18, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 4 Comments

I am going to be honest here, a Q&A was by no means on my radar, I am, after all, only fresh on the blogging scene and even though my instagram has been around for a while, I still have a small (albeit fiercely loyal) following. The thing is though, I get asked similar questions … Continue reading A Q&A With Me

Tea With Me {guest post}

October 23, 2017October 23, 2017 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 2 Comments

At some point a couple of weeks ago on a coffee date with your usual host, my daughter Catherine I agreed to guest host Tea With Me. I think I was overly zealous having just finished a particularly strong cup of coffee that I feel certain was brewed from an intoxicating bean. I have to … Continue reading Tea With Me {guest post}

Tea With Me

October 16, 2017October 16, 2017 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 2 Comments

Pull up a chair at the breakfast bar. You sit that side, I’ll boil the kettle. We have some leftover Birthday cake to enjoy with tea today. It is so delicious. Well my goodness storm Ophelia has arrived with gusto hasn’t she? We had grand plans to nip into town today to get US dollars … Continue reading Tea With Me

Hi again, come in. The kettle is on and so is the heating, it definitely feels like Autumn today. I am having a big old mug of strong tea this afternoon, would you like one too? That delicious smell? It's my Mums homemade Cinnamon Rolls heating in the oven, you will not want to pass … Continue reading Tea With Me

Tea With Me (join here)

October 7, 2017October 7, 2017 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 2 Comments

It’s coffee again this week, with extra frothy coconut milk and a generous chunk of shortbread brought home from Glasgow. I’d throw my arms around you and squeeze your neck because it is just so nice to have you round. We will perch at the breakfast bar I think, it’s nap time and the sun … Continue reading Tea With Me (join here)

Hi, my name is Catherine & I am so happy you stopped by. The pages of my blog will mostly be filled with my journey in motherhood and our ordinary extraordinary moments. It's a big day here, Susanna has her first Nativity. She's been practicing her lines and her songs and has even put me and Connie through the whole show as the teacher. We are every bit as excited as she is. Tonight we are taking her for dinner and to the pantomime with her wee friend. We are feeling extra festive this morning ⛄
Susanna was so little for her first Christmas that I find myself forgetting that this is Connie's. But then, she gazes at the fairy lights like its the most incredible thing she's ever seen and suddenly I remember. It's your first Christmas sweet girl and our most magical one yet 🎄
Today was a biggie, today was magical. Today we visited Father Christmas. Susanna was beyond excited and practiced exactly what she was going to tell him on the car journey, she also decided that she would need to speak for Connie, just incase their letters didn't make it. I'm proud of my girl, she spoke loud and clear and asked for just two presents. It's one of those days where I feel like we must be doing something right. Also, it was extra special because her auntie @lucindadouglas just happened to be the Elf who checked the naughty & nice list. Of course we never doubted for a second what list they would be on (even if we have made a couple of threats 🤦🏼‍♀️) . We explored the Christmas Market, visited santa at Titanic and then called in to have dinner with our friends on the way home. One girl is fast asleep, the other is unloading my magazine rack at my feet. My heart is bursting, today was a very lovely day 🎄
It's been my favourite kind of morning. We've been writing Christmas cards and letters to Santa. We all stayed in our pj's, lit the fire and snuggled up to watch my favourite Christmas film, The Santa Clause. I'm always surprised that it doesn't come up as a favourite very often; I think it's the best combination out there. A great santa, kids as elves, all American wholesome-ness, lots of Christmas magic. I flipping love it. Also I was obsessed with Tim Allen as a kid so that helps too. What's your fav Christmas movie? 🎅
Catching my breath after a full day yesterday. We had such a lovely festive afternoon with @thehomelyhaven creating fresh door wreaths. Then, it was home for a quick change to head out with the bride squad for party night. We all had a sleepover at my mum and dad's and woke to a big fry this morning. It's a slow start, just what we needed. Happy Sunday friend ⛄ Thanks for the snap @maureen3887
2 teeth yesterday, crawling today. I'm proud as punch of this wee peach smashing her milestones. Tonight we have the cousins round for a sleepover and my heart is bursting. Full House, just how I like it. Of course, susanna is past herself with excitement. There have been lot of giggles tonight 🎄
All of the lights // last night we wrapped up warm and went on an adventure at bed time. We were invited along to preview the Enchanted Winter Garden at Antrim Castle Gardens. It was magical. We have gone every year since it opened but I think this year tops them all. The lights, characters, fairground rides and food; every bit of it makes for a really fun, family festive night out. Swipe across to see how our adventure went. The #enchantedwintergarden opens today at 4.30pm, who's planning a trip? 🎅 P. S. @sarah_cameronart nailed the family shot for us 🌠 #gifted #enchantedwintergarden @anborough @powerni
We have not one, but two teeth. Go Connie girl, you sure don't do things by halves. The milestones fly by with a second baby, I can't believe she is almost nine months and yet I also can't even picture life without her anymore, it's like she's always been here. She's a joy bringer, even when teething. . It's a cosy morning for us before an exciting evening. Elfis was having a movie night with Elsa last night so we are jumping on board and watching Elf before breakfast. Happy Thursday friends 🎄
It was an early start for us as our advent-ure calendar sent us to the Christmas tree farm. We made a morning of it and treated our big girl to a McDs brekkie and a wander round @slemishmarketgarden before heading to pick out the perfect tree. It was a lot to squeeze in before preschool, so no surprise that we have two very sleepy girls tonight. Our real tree is full of sentimental decorations, each has a little story behind it and we also add to it each year. I can't wait to pick out Connie's first decoration and see what Susanna picks for herself. These days are magic 🎄 #everydaymamamoments
