A Birthday Letter to Susanna // Four Years of You

October 10, 2019October 10, 2019 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

To our precious big girl, Four! How can that be? I feel like just a second ago we were (im)patiently waiting your arrival with absolutely no clue about what it would be like to be parents but full of hopes and dreams for the journey ahead. It sounds like a cliché but I honestly feel … Continue reading A Birthday Letter to Susanna // Four Years of You

Sailing Through Second

February 16, 2019February 16, 2019 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

I heard somebody saying that the second trimester is like the honeymoon period of pregnancy and I think that’s pretty accurate. Even though my nausea lingered on at the beginning of the trimester, there was a definite and noticeable shift in how I felt. Suddenly my energy levels picked up, a neat bump appeared, I … Continue reading Sailing Through Second

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

December 31, 2018December 31, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

I feel like this post needs to begin with a huge disclaimer; I am in no way a chef and I am certainly not a food blogger but one thing we love to do at our house is to entertain friends and family. You also won’t find any fancy recipes or posh nosh ideas here … Continue reading Eat, Drink & Be Merry

Mummy & Me Winter Market

November 22, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

Somebody pinch me, am I really sitting here writing a post on our second Mummy & Me Market? It was less than six months ago that I met with fellow stay-at-home Mum Laura, in a coffee shop and had an “I wonder if this could work” conversation. We nervously discussed ideas, did some research and … Continue reading Mummy & Me Winter Market

Susanna is Three {a Teddy Bears Picnic Party}

October 16, 2018October 16, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 1 Comment

I wonder if there will ever be a time when my daughter’s birthday doesn’t catch me off guard? I remember hurriedly planning her Pumpkin Patch party last year and once again, the date crept up on us and we hadn’t even so much as sent an invitation. Life has been incredibly busy lately and to … Continue reading Susanna is Three {a Teddy Bears Picnic Party}

A Week in Croatia

June 4, 2018June 4, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

It’s a big year for my hubby and I, we are both leaving our 20’s behind and entering into the big 30. My thoughts around hitting this milestone birthday are for another post, another time; let’s just say I’m not thrilled at the prospect. Last year, as we discussed what was ahead, we decided that … Continue reading A Week in Croatia

So, you don’t work?

April 4, 2018April 4, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

Isn’t it strange how one of the first things we ask when we meet someone new is, ‘so, what do you do?’ I have never really understood it, maybe because I have never really cared about what people do for work! It’s certainly not amongst the top ten things I want to know when I … Continue reading So, you don’t work?

Welcome to Foxborough {part one}

March 3, 2018August 8, 2018 ~ My Copper Fox ~ 11 Comments

Welcome to our home, come on in. Truth be told, I have been resisting doing a home tour for a long time and the only reason for that is simply that I feel like Foxborough is still very much a work in progress. A few weeks ago a local homes magazine got in touch and … Continue reading Welcome to Foxborough {part one}

The December Edit

December 31, 2017December 31, 2017 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

Well here we are, right on the cusp of a brand new year, a fresh start, a whole new adventure, isn’t it exciting? But before we jump into all things 2018 let’s take a little look back at the final hurrah of 2017. December was the perfect end to a truly wonderful year for us, … Continue reading The December Edit

Have yourself a merry little Christmas …

December 22, 2017December 22, 2017 ~ My Copper Fox ~ Leave a comment

I don’t know when the Christmas celebrations start in your house, I suspect if you have little ones it will be earlier rather than later. For us, it all begins at the very end of November when twinkly lights are appearing in windows and Mariah usually hits the airwaves for the first time. For me, … Continue reading Have yourself a merry little Christmas …

Catching my breath after a full day yesterday. We had such a lovely festive afternoon with @thehomelyhaven creating fresh door wreaths. Then, it was home for a quick change to head out with the bride squad for party night. We all had a sleepover at my mum and dad's and woke to a big fry this morning. It's a slow start, just what we needed. Happy Sunday friend ⛄ Thanks for the snap @maureen3887
2 teeth yesterday, crawling today. I'm proud as punch of this wee peach smashing her milestones. Tonight we have the cousins round for a sleepover and my heart is bursting. Full House, just how I like it. Of course, susanna is past herself with excitement. There have been lot of giggles tonight 🎄
All of the lights // last night we wrapped up warm and went on an adventure at bed time. We were invited along to preview the Enchanted Winter Garden at Antrim Castle Gardens. It was magical. We have gone every year since it opened but I think this year tops them all. The lights, characters, fairground rides and food; every bit of it makes for a really fun, family festive night out. Swipe across to see how our adventure went. The #enchantedwintergarden opens today at 4.30pm, who's planning a trip? 🎅 P. S. @sarah_cameronart nailed the family shot for us 🌠 #gifted #enchantedwintergarden @anborough @powerni
We have not one, but two teeth. Go Connie girl, you sure don't do things by halves. The milestones fly by with a second baby, I can't believe she is almost nine months and yet I also can't even picture life without her anymore, it's like she's always been here. She's a joy bringer, even when teething. . It's a cosy morning for us before an exciting evening. Elfis was having a movie night with Elsa last night so we are jumping on board and watching Elf before breakfast. Happy Thursday friends 🎄
It was an early start for us as our advent-ure calendar sent us to the Christmas tree farm. We made a morning of it and treated our big girl to a McDs brekkie and a wander round @slemishmarketgarden before heading to pick out the perfect tree. It was a lot to squeeze in before preschool, so no surprise that we have two very sleepy girls tonight. Our real tree is full of sentimental decorations, each has a little story behind it and we also add to it each year. I can't wait to pick out Connie's first decoration and see what Susanna picks for herself. These days are magic 🎄 #everydaymamamoments
We are how many days into our Advent-ure calendar already?! I hope the whole month doesn't go this quickly. I really love the build up to Christmas, even more than the day, it's just so exciting. We have done this countdown to Christmas every year since we got married. Each day we have something fun to do together, nothing big, just little moments of being intentional. I say no to pretty much everything in December to make lots of room for family time, I know these years are so precious. Anyone else love the build up even more than the day? ⛄ #everydaymamamoments
Oh man, 24 hours of just us two. Actually having conversation over a meal, browsing the shops, holding hands as we walked, sleeping all night and waking up refreshed. It was sheer bliss but the excitement as we drove home to our girls was also next level. Time away makes you a better parent, fact! Time to refresh and focus on each other. It was the perfect remedy for the market hangover and as hard as I found it to leave the girls behind, I know they enjoyed their time with Granny & Granda so very much. The gang is back together, looking forward to chatting with you again in another 6 months or so @foxandfins 😂😜
It's been a lovely slow morning at home with my girls. I always feel like I have a market hangover after an event. I swear it's all the excitement. We have welcomed Elfis back and also introduced this lovely new idea from @thegivingmanger. Susanna chose a kindness card and followed it through perfectly. Our first piece of straw is in the manger. December, it's so good to see you 🎄 #gifteditems #everydaymamamoments
#ad Good Morning! My favourite time of the day is the morning snuggles when we all wake. Usually propped up in bed with some fresh coffee and copious amounts of cuddles. It's even sweeter when we have had a good night’s sleep. One way we make sure that Connie sleeps well is by using @pampersuk_ire Baby-Dry nappies to help #BeatTheLeaks. With two times stronger leg cuffs and extra absorbency we can eliminate her nappy being the reason she wakes up. Since making the switch I have noticed that she sleeps so much better. Look at that happy wee face after a great night and what a bonus that my morning coffee is out of choice rather than necessity! Have you tried the new Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? #BeatTheLeaks
