The September Edit

Is it just me or has September been a little bit different this year? I feel like we have spent more time jumping in muddy puddles than crunching through leaves. I think I could count on one hand the number of blue sky days we had this month, but, it has given us the perfect excuse to cosy up indoors. Here are some of the little things I have loved this month …

  • The Causeway Coast {Steven Hanna} this book has become our coffee table read and I find myself picking it up at various points in the day to have a flick through. The Causeway Coast itself is my absolute favourite coastline in the world, and I have travelled down a few. Steven has managed to capture it in all it’s splendour and don’t even get me started on those sunrise shots! I have a feeling this will not be put away on the book shelf for a very long time.

  • Doctor Foster {BBC 1} I was hooked on this show the first time round, side note, I was heavily pregnant and it was the only thing that kept me so captivated that I forgot how uncomfortable I was. I’ll admit, I was a little sceptical about how they could continue the story on, after all, the first season did seem to tie everything up nicely…or so we thought? Guys, if you haven’t jumped on this bandwagon yet I strongly suggest you do. The tension is palpable and Suranne Jones is utterly convincing.

  • Live Lounge Month {BBC Radio 1) Let me just start by saying I adore the Live Lounge and when they give you five performances a week for a whole month, I honestly can barely contain myself. I generally have Radio 1 on in the kitchen all day as background music/chat but when the Live Lounge starts it is no longer in the background, everything must stop. I wish I could give my stand out favourite performance from this month but I just cannot pick so here are my highlights, George Ezra (because that voice), Jay-Z (obviously), Lorde (please sing me to sleep), Rag N Bone Man (that man has soul) and the fabulous Royal Blood (enough said, right?)

  • Days that reminded me it is Autumn – As I mentioned, these were few and far between but we did have a couple of perfect Autumn days and we did not waste a minute in throwing on our wellies and heading outside to explore. We collected conkers with Susanna’s little friend Marley, went on a Bear hunt with Nana and hunted for different coloured leaves in our own garden. If you know me at all you will know I adore Autumn, so, more crisp sunny days please October.

And I guess that’s it for September and my little loves this month. What have you been loving in September and please do share what you have planned for October.

Disclaimer: This post is not, in actual fact, sponsored by the BBC, it just so happens that they smashed it with their TV & Radio this month!
